Hi! I am Aleka and I want to welcome you to Bite Sized Kitchen!

Bite Sized Kitchen is all about creating unique, bite-sized finger foods.

If you enjoy hosting get-togethers, need food to bring to one or are just looking for recipes that are simply more fun, you have come to the right place!

About Me

I live in New Jersey (just outside of Philadelphia) with my main squeeze Derek and my lil' bite, Cal! I am a full-time math teacher who ironically used to stink at math.

Before I was born, my parents opened a bakery called Jack's Donuts. Naturally, I grew up watching and learning a lot about what goes on in a kitchen. I worked there for many years during high school and college cooking, baking and managing. I learned so much from both my mom and dad during that time.

Did you know weather can affect your baking??

In addition to that, I am Greek! So that goes without saying that food is the heart of our family gatherings. If you joined us on Easter, you will see my yiayia eating the eyeball (and brain of course) of the goat we roasted.

Why Bite-Sized?

Derek and I love having friends and family over as often as we can. From game nights, to our beloved Eagles parties, there is nothing better than "noshing" over yummy finger foods.

The foods that my friends and family gravitate towards most are the easy pickings..the appetizers..the hors d'oeuvres..the finger foods...you get the picture. I always think to myself, "Why am I preparing this big meal if everyone is stuffing themselves before they get to it?" And so I began making only finger foods when my friends and family visit! I will also bring a platter of mini bites to any party I attend.

On my blog, I will share with you only bite-sized foods that you can now start encouraging your guests to fill up on!

Here at Bite Sized Kitchen, I seek to create recipes that are unique and easy to make based on everything I have learned growing up in kitchen.
