Snacks can make or break a party! If I walk into a party and there is nothing to immediately munch on, I am disappointed. There is something comforting about snacking and wanting our guests to be comfortable is important to me.
On this blog, you will find multiple bite sized party snack ideas that will be sure to please a crowd!
Snacking Tips
Snacking is a mindless activity that we all do daily. It makes us happy because it gives us something to do while satisfying us at the same time.
However, mindless snacking can be dangerous! One second you are opening a bag of chips and 10 minutes later, you’ve reached the bottom of the bag. It is easy to lose track of how much you’re eating and even easier when eating small portions like many snacks are.
Snacking Tips:
- Don’t snack on large bags of chips, pretzels, nuts, etc. where you can easily lose track of how much your eating. Instead, pack a portion sized bag.
- Always have a variety of cut vegetables easily accessible.
- Have something healthy to ‘dip’ into. This makes eating fruits and veggies more appealing and fun to snack on!
- Choose snacks that have protein and will fill you up!
- Dark chocolate chips are a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth while keeping the sugar low.
- Snacking on naturally sweet items, like fruit, will help to curb your sweet tooth so you won’t go for the processed sweets.
- Switch up your snacks so you do not get bored easily.
- Purchase the pre-packaged snack packs most stores sell. They are nicely portioned and have a variety of items available.
- Trail mixes are a great snack option that opens the window to numerous varieties. Try adding some chocolate chips to your mix to satisfy your sweet tooth.

What Snacks Should I Bring To A Party?
The best snacks to bring are ones that will be a hit with everyone! Here are my tips:
- Salty snacks are best! Everyone loves them and they go well with drinks.
- Make cheap snacks! This is ideal because you want to be able to make A LOT of it. If you cannot afford to make enough for everyone at the party, don’t make it.
- Keep them room temperature! Snacks that do not require re-heating AND can be left out for hours without going bad are the best!
- Keep other people in mind. You don’t want to make a snack that people don’t eat. So if you know there are allergies or someone with a food intolerance, try to leave that ingredient out.
- Keep it clean. Snacks should not be overly messy. They should be easily grabbed without requiring much, if any, silverware/plates.
- Keep flavor profiles in mind. People love salty and sweet combinations so try mixing the two together.
