Easy and delicious Pasta Salad Skewers With Creamy Herb Dressing! A fun and festive way to eat pasta salad without utensils! For this pasta salad, I used mini ravioli and then dressed the salad with a creamy but light herb dressing!
Pasta Salad Without Utensils!?
Memorial Day is coming up fast and we are still waiting for baby Lucas to arrive! He is due in ONE week and seems to be pretty comfortable as of today. Cal came late so if he’s anything like his brother, he will also wait until the last minute I’m sure! He will give me some more time to prep a few freezer meals which I will be grateful for post-delivery!
In case you haven’t heard, Memorial Day is the “unofficial” start of the summer!
This means, summer foods are in full effect and I couldn’t be happier! Hot dogs, burgers, watermelon and of course, the classic American side dish, PASTA SALAD!
I used to hate pasta salad growing up! It was definitely the heavy mayonnaise that I hated. Or the raw veggies…or both.
Fortunately, these mini skewers are not heavily drenched in the stuff. Instead, I used half mayo and half sour cream to lighten it up a bit and give it some tang.
Anything skewered is more fun right?
How To Make A Creamy Herb Dressing
If you read my recent post on this Easy Cold Spinach Dip With Cream Cheese you already know how much I despise mayonnaise in its “solo” state.
By the way, that spinach dip recipe is my most popular recipe because there is NO mayonnaise in it!
With that said, MOST creamy dressings start with mayonnaise as its base. You can also use yogurt or sour cream! Both are delicious. I always add some vinegar to my dressings. My go-to vinegars are red wine and sherry.
Using fresh herbs are just an absolute must in dressings. They

intensify the flavor profile, bring such a fresh bite to a dish and scream summer! Just promise me you will use FRESH herbs! I strongly believe fresh herbs make a huge difference so please don’t substitute dried herbs in your dressing!
If you haven’t tried fresh tarragon, this is your chance! It has such an awesome flavor and it goes so well with creamy sauces and of course, dressings. If you do not have these herbs on hand, you can really use any herbs you have in the fridge just as long as they’re FRESH! Chives and thyme would be great too!

Recipe Notes
- Depending on the size if your skewers, you may be able to get more or less than 24.
